SMOKING CESSATION

Mountain Park Health Center is funded by the Arizona Department of Health Services to provide Tobacco Prevention and Cessation services to the community surrounding our clinics with a special focus on the Spanish speaking population. Here are the services we currently offer, as well as helpful information:

Prevention

Get Real about Tobacco is the curriculum used at the local charter schools and community agencies. Four free sessions are provided with a celebration at the end of the 4th sessions. The program is geared for kids from 4th to 8th grade.

Cessation

Monday at the Baseline clinic and Wednesday at our Maryvale clinic; English at 5:30p.m. and Spanish at 6:30 p.m. Vouchers for 50% off the retail price for nicotine replacement therapy (patches, gum or lozenge) are available to participants for six weeks in order to support their attempt to quit.
